…in my inbox.
This morning, I started the day with less than 200 emails in my inbox. Over the last year, that is a large number.
In actuality, I felt like a lazy bum because I had so many emails sitting there. I am not necessarily an “Inbox Zero” guy, but I like it to be somewhat tidy at least.
About mid-morning I realized that I hadn’t been receiving email for a couple days from several people I normally get email from each day. I am one of those people!
I did a little clicking-and-typing in the wild fields of the Internet and “fixed” the problem relatively quickly. Problem is, the fix has turned into a game of Whac-a-Mole.
After deleting several thousand old emails, I now have 3,265.
My apologies If I haven’t gotten back to you, it seems as if my email filter has been working overtime and then suddenly quit along with my email account altogether.
I have seen some emails come in today from months and years ago that I should have responded to had I knew they were there at the time. Quite embarrassing.
Just another fun thing to work on over the weekend. Or not.
I was going to put out a course sometime in the next few weeks on how to write effective emails, but I am reconsidering. Even though it is the opposite problem of what I am attempting to solve for those who want it or need it, I need to find someone to help me get my email inbox sorted out first.
I’d tell you to email me, and you can do that…but my problem is that in the few minutes I have spent typing, my email inbox is now over 3,400. I think there are mostly old emails now repopulating my inbox. I don’t know for sure, though, because earlier in the week I was only getting a trickle of the emails I was supposed to get.
Let’s just say, it’s not very good form when your business life is essentially email-based and you have horrible email problems.
At least I got some good website work in this week.

FYI—my junk/spam filter started the day at 271…it is now at 4,660
4,696 emails in my official inbox as I push send for this one,
