It’s actually not that secret, and sorry to confuse you if your name is not Andy…the line is from an R.E.M. song about the great Andy Kaufman. More on that later…
We’ve been doing a little website work.
Brian D. O’Leary dot com (briandoleary.com) is again its own page. No longer does it link directly to the Substack archive. Adjust your bookmarks accordingly.
The new website is basic but serves like a “link tree” website at this point. Most of what you need or want from me is on that page.
We are going to build out the site, but first things first.
What else is new?
Instagram post…
We plan on 'Gramming a few times per week. Bear with me…please. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a TikTok thrown in there for good measure.
Our Odysee page is probably the best one-stop shop for all of our videos, video podcasts, and audio podcasts. Odysee is a blockchain-based YouTube (and other social media) alternative.
If you’re not on Odysee yet, here is an invite:
Also, if you haven’t the foggiest about the “blockchain” and all the rest of it, no worries. We will have a podcast next week that should get into some of the nuts and bolts about that technology. Patience, until then…
We have a new “tagline.” Some people apparently thought I was too “serious.” Maybe, maybe not.
Either way, it is my vision for this project—newsletters, podcasts, and all the rest of it—to facilitate “conversations that matter.” We’re going to go with that for the time being because that’s what I believe our mission ultimately is about.
What this also means is that you are encouraged to comment on the Substack site, “like” the emails (“red heart emoji”), and share them with those you think would enjoy them.
How else can you help?
There’s another way to support the podcast (and the newsletter)… to buy me a coffee.
I will not be…
I won’t be linking to any Amazon products for a while…they nuked my account. Vaporized all my dough I had banked with them, too. I should have been aware that providing links to Amazon products in email is a big no-no.
I was not aware. It is a big no-no and somewhat problematic for me currently.
But as the great Tony Clifton sings, I will survive…
We also won’t be delivering as many emails for the next few days. We should have something for you before the weekend, but if not, our regular emails will pick back up after the Labor Day holiday.
Until then, be sure to check out the “New and Improved” BrianDOLeary.com to find us on our other platforms.
FYI—I’m a different Brian O’Leary than the guy who was an astronaut and wasn’t entrirely sure about the legitimacy of the claim that we put a “man on the moon.”
